Google’s Person Finder App Released To Help Japan

Japan was hit by a powerful earthquake, which caused hundreds of deaths, until now, and damages which right now, can’t be expressed in money. When the after shocks will be over, there will be possible a counting of how many people died in the earthquake, how many buildings were destroyed, how many cities evacuated and so on. This is why Google wanted to help Japan in those hard times and created an application for people to find other people.

It is hard to communicate using the mobile phones in Japan right now, because the lines are way too busy, everyone wanting to know how everyone else is doing. This is why if you cannot speak to your mother ot father and you live in Japan, you can use the application created by Google, which can be found in here, and which allows the people who find other people under wrecks or which have a smartphone and momentarily they are themselves trapped under teared down buildings, to use the application to announce in a way that they are ok and to provide their exact location.

Unfortunately, right now, no matter how odd this might seem, the risk does not come from another earthquake, since a few hours ago, just happened the biggest earthquake in the history of Japan, but the fires and the tsunami. Not mentioning that a nuclear alert was set by the authorities.

The application right now contains 6100 entries. If you know information about a person who is lost, ask her or him the name and use the smartphone you have, if it is still working, to help others who are looking for that person. Google proved one more time that they are indeed a company who cares about people, by launching so rapidly this application. I don’t have anymore words to describe what the people there must feel. God help Japan!11
